How Automobiles Work

you wanna do while driving, but you’re number one
priority is staying safe. For that, Android Auto
is a smart way to go. This integrated technology
helps to make calls, get directions, send
texts, and play music, and it’s all hands free. In fact Android Auto is so
good at recognizing your voice, I’ve asked Captain Gibberish here to demonstrate how well
these features work. It’s simple to set up too. You just plug in your Android
smartphone using a micro USB. Then, launch Android Auto
on your multimedia screen. Your phone will now require
a few quick confirmations in order to take full
advantage of Android Auto. So to proceed, hit continue. Each permission must be
accepted individually. If you want Android Auto to make and manage calls, press allow. If you want Android Auto to be able to access your contacts, press allow. If you want Android Auto to be able to access your phone’s
location, press allow. If you want Android Auto to be able to send and receive text
messages, press allow. If you want Android Auto to be able to record audio, press allow. These permission only need to be accepted the first
time you use Android Auto. You can always go back into
your settings and make changes to any of these services if needed. You’ll now see a familiar interface. Notice only certain apps are available, so as to help with driver distraction. – Aargh! – You can use the screen but even better Android
Auto is voice activated. Press the voice command button located on your steering wheel and say the name of the
person you’re trying to call. (soft beep)

I mean, start. – You can even send texts from the car without typing in a word. (soft beep) – Send text to Scurvy Pete. (soft beep) – [Computer Voice] Text Scurvy Pete, sure. What’s the message? – Change of plans, we set sail tomorrow. Bring your own gunny sack. (soft beep) – [Computer Voice] Here’s your SMS message to Scurvy Pete. Change of plans, we set sail tomorrow. how Android Auto works, you can cast off and enjoy the voyage. Um, I mean car ride (laughing). – Aargh! (coughing) Hey you know I have a

  1. When I am using navigation system through Android Auto it won't do commands for changing radio station or sending/reading texts. Why is that?
