How Automobiles Work

Kawasaki, BMW, Suzuki, Honda and many other
companies have been manufacturing cycles that match customers’ desires and one of them is desire for speed. In this video you’re going to watch top
10 fastest cycles in the world. But before we get started I want to indicate
that this video contains modified motorbikes. Let me explain this a little bit more and
then we’ll get to the list. After the 1999 Hayabusa sent shockwaves by exceeding the Honda CBR1100XX’s record by more than 16 km/h (10 mph), some regulators
and politicians in Europe called for an import ban gainst high speed motorcycles. There were fears that there would be, ‘an
outbreak of illegal racing as riders try to break the 300 km/h barrier’. Thereupon, a gentlemen’s agreement was made among the major motorcycle manufacturers to limit the top speed of their machines to 300 km/h (186 mph), starting with 2000 models. This is why the motorcycles on this list are
whether track-only or limited at this speed if they are gonna be ridden on the roads. Their speed limiters are taken away and some
of their parts are modified to break a speed record or to just provide
an advantage in races. Also, they were modified by motorcycle race
teams, not by unprofessional individuals since they are not tested whether they tampered
with the speedometer. Number 10… We got a Honda motorcycle. A Japanese brand Honda’s CBR1000RR, marketed
in some countries as the “Fireblade”, is a 998 cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder
motorbike. The 2017 model has a enhanced engine which
now produces 189 hp and it comes with a top speed of 299 km/h (186 mph). Besides accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in
2.8 seconds, it retails at $ 14 000 nowadays. At the number 9 we have Kawasaki ZX-12R Another popular Japanese company Kawasaki makes it to the top. The 1199 cc inline four-cylinder engine ZX-12R
has, produces 190 hp, making it the most powerful production motorcycle up to 2006, the year
when the ZX-14R was released. Cycle World tested the ZX-12R’s 0 to 100 km/h
acceleration at 2.7 seconds. They found an electronically-limited top speed
of 301 km/h (187 mph) which makes it one of the fastest motorbikes on the market. When it comes it’s price, this motorcycle
retails for $ 4000. Number 8: MV Agusta F4 RR 312 The “312” in
the name refers to the Italian motorcycle’s claimed top speed of 312 km/h (193.8 mph). Motociclismo magazine verified MV Agusta’s
claim to an extent, achieving a top speed of 311 km/h (193.24 mph) at Italy’s Nardo Speed stadium
in the previous decade, so there’s no question this model belongs to any list
of fastest motorcycles. Sprinting to 100 km/h lasts about 3 seconds
on this one. It is identical to the F4 R 312 except for
an additional 7 hp, allowing it to produce 190 hp in total. Moreover, an average sticker of this motorbike
is $ 22 000 nowadays. The number 7 spot goes to Suzuki Hayabusa
GSX 1300R I’m talking about the last model before gentlemen’s agreement. In other words, the last unrestricted Hayabusa. This Japanese manufacturer’s popular model
Hayabusa’s name comes from a peregrine falcon known for its ability to dive at speeds approaching
300 km/h. Since 1999, the Hayabusa has been a regular
feature on pretty much any list that concerns speed. Packing a liquid cooled 1340cc engine capable
of 170 hp, the Hayabusa hit 100 km/h in only 2.8 seconds. Figures bested only by the incredible result
of Cycle World’s top speed test showing a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph). Consequently, Guinness World Records listed
the Hayabusa as the fastest production motorbike in the world in 2000 and in 2001. The Hayabusa has been used in road racing,
drag racing, and top speed competitions. Many people see Hayabusa as a reasonably priced
bike because it comes with a price tag of $ 15 000. Coming in at the number 6th spot is the motorcycle
known as Ducati Panigale 1199 R Here comes another Italian motorcycle. Original version’s liquid cooled 1199cc
engine produces 195 hp but the R which is the final version of the iconic 1199, ships with a track-only Termignoni exhaust system that ups power to 202 hp. All that raises the top speed from 300 to 325 km/h (202 mph). That right there is what makes it one of the
fastest motorcycles in the world. With this upgrade Panigale 1199 R is also
able to sprint to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Furthermore it is available for $ 20 000 these
days. Moving into number 5 we have Kawasaki Ninja
ZX-14R On paper, the ZX-14R comes equipped with a 1441cc engine that can produce up to
200 hp which allows this motorbike to hit 280 km/h (174 mph). However with a different set of tires and
a small gearing adjustment, the Kawasaki ZX-14R was estimated to reach a speed of more than
300 km/h (186 mph) and it did so. In 2013, Ralph Nicholls set the Australian
land speed record on a Ninja ZX-14R with some gearing and tyre changes and the speed limiter removed. Nicholls rode the Ninja above 335 km/h (208mph). This super machine also hit 100 km/h from
a stand still in just 2.7 seconds. Furthermore, it is priced at $ 14 000. The number 4 spot on this list is BMW S1000
RR It is the only German motorbike on this list. It’s spec sheet shows us that the needle
can point to 305 km/h (190 mph). In September 2016, Valerie Thompson decided to push the limits of this machine and rode it at 350 km/h (217.7 mph) with about 12 modifications. It’s not really surprising when you know
that she is often referred to as “America’s Queen of Speed”. Even at these high speeds, the new power curve
on the this motorbike allows turning to benice and easy. In addition to it’s exceptional speed, we
see that the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration of this motorbike is as good as Bugatti Veyron
Super Sport’s acceleration, which both achieve in 2.8 seconds. This BMW motorcycle features a 999cc engine
producing up to 193 hp and has a price around $ 13 000. We are at the top 3 and the 3rd fastest motorcycle
is Lightning LS-218. You are now looking at the only electric
motorcycle on this list. It’s manufactured by an American motorbike
company, Lightning Motorcycle. This company is simply considered to be the
Tesla of motorbikes. By rights, the Lightning LS-218 should really
be in first place, if you’re looking for the fastest motorbike in the world that’s
a regular production motorbike. Purists don’t like the Lightning LS-218
though because it comes with a character trait that many still consider improper – because
it’s electric. The name LS – 218 stands for the top-speed
of the vehicle which is obviously 218 mph. Back in 2011, the Lightning team took their
bike to stretch its legs on the Bonneville Salt Flats, and it topped out at 351 km/h
(218 mph). Even the biggest electric haters can’t deny
the performance of this motorbike: a liquid cooled engine capable of
producing 200 hp and a groundbreaking acceleration of 0 to 100 km/h in 2.3 seconds. And lets not forget it’s retail price starts
at $38 000. At the time of its launch, the Lightning was
the fastest motorcycle in the world. This is much like Tesla roadster acceding
to the throne by being the fastest in the world. However, at the moment, LS-218 comes after
few motorcycles. Kawasaki Ninja H2 ranks the 2nd among the
fastest motorcycles. Launched in 2015, Kawasaki’s Ninja H2 was
like something from outer space, with alien looks, a chirping supercharger and the kind
of straight-line performance that blew the doors of any superbike it came up against. In 2016, Kent Kunitsugu, the editor for Sport
Rider magazine, competing in a land-speed racing event in California at the Mojave Magnum, took a Ninja H2 with a few bolt-on performance parts adding over 70 hp and achieved a top
speed of 365 km/h (226 mph). The Kawasaki H2 cranks out 300 horsepower from a supercharged 998cc engine. That smashes the bike to 100 km/h from a standstill in only 2.7 seconds. Keep in mind that this motorcycle currently
costs around $ 32 000. Well, everything comes at a price. So before we unveil the number 1 let’s check
out some very honorable mentions. Before I introduce you these motorcycles I
want to explain why these ones couldn’t make it to the list. I tried to chose motorcycles that actually
look like motorcycles. So I eliminated the ones had so many modifications
thrown on them that they were no longer looking like a motorbike. Remember that Dodge Tomahawk thing that always
gets put on these lists? Yeah, here it is The Tomahawk, from the Dodge company, is an interesting motorbike which is in this video and yet never did a speed
run. Its enormous power will put a road car to
shame. Some people don’t think it’s features
matter at all since it is has four wheels, making it a quad. Similarly, don’t expect to see MTT turbine-powered
Y2K or MTT Streetfighter machinery either since they are jet engined. I didn’t put them on the list because it
wouldn’t be a fair comparison. I mean, look at the horsepower and torque
numbers, and you will see my point. Another popular motorcycle comes up to minds
when people talk about fastest motorcycles is the Turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa. Bill Warner was the one who modified
the Hayabusa in 2011 to do the 500 km/h run and he did so. In 2013, Warner once again tried to do the
300 mph within a mile and lost control of his bike at 285 mph. Though he was conscious after the accident, he was declared dead about an hour later in the hospital Finally… The winner of this list is Kawasaki Ninja
H2R This motorbike is track only. It is powered by a supercharged 998cc transverse
four-cylinder that can produce approximately 310 horsepower. The Kawasaki Ninja H2R famously reached a
stunning mark of 400 km/h (249 mph) in 2016 while being ridden by Turkish rider Kenan
Sofuoğlu. Another amazing ability of this motorcycle
is that it can sprint to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds. When it comes to price, it is not really a
cheap one as salespeople charges $ 55 000 for Ninja H2R these days. And this is how the leaderboard stands today. I hope you liked the video, you might want

100 thoughts on “TOP 10 Fastest Motorcycles in the world 2020

  1. Due to 6th or final gear being governed on the RPM range – many bikes can achieve a higher top speed in 2nd to last gear.
Most people simply say ZX14 R or ZX12 R. I dont see no "ed" after the Z under the models designation for Kawasaki.

  2. You are mistaken on the H2. The H2 puts out 210 hp stock. The H2R puts out 326 hp stock and has an additional 1500 rpms added to its redline. Same power plant with certain restrictions taken off for the H2R as it is a track only bike. H2R stock can do 0-60 at just a hair over 2.0 seconds. Seeing as this video refers to off public road use only (track or closed course use only). From initial release the H2 was around $25k USD and the H2R was around $50k USD. You are talking about modified motorcycles. The turbine powered bikes still use a chain drive as the final drive and should still be included in the line up. They are not being pushed by a jet of flame. If you want to keep everything on par – keep it to internal combustion engines only.

  3. Surprised the KTM Super Duke R 1290 didnt make it on here. Un-moddified its top speed is 180 mph. Simply playing with sprocket sizes can increase max speed.

  4. You'd be right in taking the MTT bikes off the list. They should be considered because they were mass produced (even if they were in a limited quantity). But those bikes are so seriously overpowered that it's not fair to the other bikes on the list. Also, let's not forget that the cheapest price you can buy an MTT bike for is around $150K. Ouch!

  5. I've had 5 Kawasaki inline 4 motor bikes .
    Original Z1000. GPZ 900 R ( Great bike !! ) .Two ZZR 1100 ,s and now the ZX 14 .
The 14 is frighteningly fast . Superb handling and comfort . In my opinion a great looking bike .
Simply the most enjoyable and safe bike i have ever ridden .
    The older I get the the less fear I have .I'm 70 . I have a Honda VFR 800 also .
Very enjoyable and capable bike ,but not on the same planet as the Kwaka .
Met Barry Sheene at a wedding in the U.K. .
The most likeable ,polite and obliging man you could ever meet .
    A real gentleman .

  6. Lol don't matter I thought this was about the fastest production bikes the y2k deserves to be on this list not just mentioned…

  7. i hate vidoes that push fancy staff on the screen then u dont get to see it in the video like the last bike in this video

  8. I don't need to go over 70 mph max really, if that. Just like to have a bit of leeway over the speed limit, nothing fancy. Mainly to not "max out" the engine at normal highway speeds.

  9. You cant put an electric vehicle on the list and then eliminate turbine engines. After all a turbine engine is still powered by burning fule and oxygen so in all respects its more similar to a piston engine than an electric/battery power plant.

  10. This guy has no idea about any of these bikes he's talking about and it shows, you made so many mistakes. Do better, this is pathetic.

  12. Is it just me, or does the Kawasaki Ninja H2 look like monster energy? No joke seriously, it looks like MONSTERRRR energy!

  13. ok but, there now is a 2020 model s1000rr wich has 207 hp and is even better wich costs 22k. you should make a list with the top 10 fastest motors on stock.

  14. Her man in you'r next super fast Motorcycle video's keep hiyabusa out of your evry list becost it's nothing like those other Motorbikes

  15. My RZ 500 doesn't really measure up with the bikes on this list but, hitting the power band on a 4 cylinder 2 stroke is just as amazing as it is scary as hell.

  16. Never liked the Busa. Don't know why because I always liked the GSX-Rs and Katanas. Just liked the Ninjas better. Guess I've just always been a Kawi fan.

  17. My friend has a Suzuki B-King which is street fighter looking bike with a Huyabusa motor. He had the computer box remapped and he took me for a ride once 2 up and we went 300km/h on the highway. What's amazing is our combined weight is about 230kg and the bike was still accelerating. Believe it or not. Sitting pinion and we were both lying as flat at possible was hair-raising. Talk about a death defying experience lol. Thinking about it afterwards if we had an accident they would have used use a spade to clean up our flesh and bones off the tarmac and wouldn't be able to know who's flesh and bones was who's. I wish I could have a Huyabusa. My Honda Fireblade is too slow for me. Anybody want to sponsor me a Huyabusa because here in South Africa they are very expensive.

  18. You would think, very quick but, kid you not, my nearly 16yr old Suzuki GSF 650, not even a Bandit S is time vortex enhancing 2 wheeled machine. And I have not even had it any where near what it could do! Nowhere near the red-line in 1st, 3rd, 4th etc, 2nd would be close at around 80mph. Can't lean and accelerate, engines far too fierce, but Magic!!!

  19. You're clearly not a motorcycles enthusiast at least do a better reseearch before making video like this. You used 2015+ yamaha's r1 dashboard in your fireblade's top speed which is silly. It's like making video about mustang gt's top speed video while showing insides of camaro accelerating. Also your top 10 list is way out dated and irrelevant in 2020. You clearly copy pasted the old googgle's top fastest motorcycles. zx12 and panigale 1199 no way near the performance of modern superbikes in 2020 you can also throw away zx14 and hayabusa they can't keep up with modern superbikes too unless they're turbo charged. Also dodge tomahawk is only a concept vehicle which is not even considered to be a motorcycle because it has 4 wheels.

  20. @10:00 Even worse, there are those idiots who call people haters who just dislike something. 🙂
@11:47 Yes, and air has a temperature. It is not that expensive if you compare it to the price of some low volume boutique motorbikes.

  21. Thank god for motorcycles there is no way you can go 300 mph for under 12k$ in any car if a car goes 300mph tou know your spending 50k $ or more…
