How Automobiles Work

Hey! Hey! Wait for me! Stop the bus! Stop the bus! Stop the bus, man! Stop the bus! – I can’t stop this bus. – What? Why? – There’s a bomb on board. If this bus drives slower
than 50 miles per hour we’re all dead. – Just like in that movie? – Yeah. Except, real life. – Wait, does that mean I’m
running over 50 miles per hour? – See for yourself. – Holy shit!
That’s pretty fast! – Fast? Are you kidding me? You gotta be the fastest man
in the world. – You gotta help me, man!
What do I do? What do I do? – You got some real talent, kid. You gotta set some goals for
yourself and reach ’em. You got your whole life
ahead of you. Shoot for the stars, kid. Don’t let nobody hold you down. [ music ]

  1. The music, the story, the two character arcs (bus driver and 50 mph man), the ending. This may be the best Cyanide & Happiness short I've ever seen.

  3. I actually remember watching this short when I was 12 and after this video because of the "bomb on bus" sub-plot, I started to watch Speed after I told my mom about that sub-plot and where did the movie came from.

  4. 6 years later and I'm still un sure why cyanide and happiness never sued DreamWorks for basically just making a kid friendly version with snails

  5. So I hear people talk about why the 50mph man tried running against racecars. Well I think it's all about how ambition can take over and corrupt u due to the later scenes. But to be fair, this episode is a work of art.

  6. 50 MPH Man: Runs into a woman at 50 MPH

    Woman: “Let’s get married…”

So at the end of the day, the moral of the story is, the only way to get laid is to run into someone at 50 MPH…

  7. I said this before-

But it's funny, and kinda sad.

In his dying moments I think that's when he went past 50MPH. And that's how he died- Moving faster than he ever had before.
